Throughout my time as a Basketball player and Skills Trainer/Coach I have tried many Heavy Basketballs. Some good and some bad.
Here are the ones that I like:
1. Handle Life Heavy Basketball 3 lb Heavy Training Ball
This is the Heavy Basketball used by NBA players such as Chris Paul, Kevin Durant, James Harden, Seth Curry and much more. It was created by NBA Skills Trainer and former Professional Basketball Player, Johnny Stephene, aka “Dribble 2 Much”.
You can select your ideal size: Youth (28.5″ Size 6), Womens (28.5″ Size 6) or Mens (29.5″ Size 7).

2. SKLZ Weighted Training Basketball, 29.5″ – 3-lb Heavy Training Ball
This is another good heavy basketball that I have used.

As you may already know, heavy/weighted basketballs help you build strength, improve ball handling, and enhance your overall performance.
After dribbling a heavy basketball for say 2o to 30 times, the regular Basketball will feel as light as a feather. In fact, I and many of my athletes have said the same thing.
You have amazing control of the ball, it feels like glue or like you have the ball on a string.
Your dribbles are harder, faster, sharper, tighter.
Most importantly, YOU control the ball. The ball does not control you.
